Delete your account and data
This page is for deleting your Mersatna account and everything tied to it. The fastest route is inside the app: it is immediate and waits for no one. If the app is not on your device — you uninstalled it, changed phones, or cannot sign in — use the form on this page.
1. Route 1: inside the app — immediate
- Open Mersatna and sign in.
- Go to My account (or Settings).
- Choose Delete account.
- The app asks you to confirm your identity (re-enter and verify your number, or confirm with your sign-in provider) unless you confirmed it minutes ago. The server enforces this, not the screen, so an account is never deleted by a stray tap or by someone holding your unlocked phone.
- Your sessions are revoked immediately on every device, every store you own is closed, and your memberships in other people's stores end; the grace period before erasure then begins — see Timing. You can sign in again during the grace period to undo it.
2. Route 2: request from this page
If you no longer have the app, or cannot sign in, enter your phone number here and we take it from there. You do not need to reinstall the app.
Why is it not erased the moment you submit? Because this page is open to everyone, and a phone number alone does not prove whose it is. If we deleted on request alone, anyone who knows your number could wipe your account and your store. So we verify your identity first (we contact you on that same number), and then the deletion is carried out.
3. What deletion erases
- Your account and sign-in data, so it can no longer be used.
- Your name, number and photo, your favourites, and your chats with stores.
- Every store you own is closed with it and then erased: its products, images, orders and accounting records — see section 5.
- Your notifications and device tokens, so nothing reaches you after.
4. What remains, and why
Little remains, and we list all of it here:
- The record of payments you made to the platform — stripped of store identity. It is an accounting entry the platform is required to keep.
- A hashed fingerprint of the phone number — a one-way function (SHA-256), not the number itself, and never readable from the app or a browser. It prevents recycling the trial period by deleting an account and creating another with the same number.
- The administrative audit log of actions taken.
- And if you worked in someone else's store: what that store's books attribute to you. Your membership ends at once and you can no longer enter the store, but the sales, purchases and entries you recorded there, your account with it (what it owes you or you owe it), and its activity-log lines remain under your identifier and the name it had for you on the day of the work. These are the store owner's books, not your personal data: an entry without an author breaks the accounting trail and can lose a right of yours or theirs. Only the store owner may view them, and the activity log is deleted automatically after two years.
- And if your account with that store was unsettled on the day of erasure — it owes you, or you owe it — one line bearing your name stays in its team list, marked "former employee". It grants you nothing: no access, no permission, no seat in the team. It stays only because the amount cannot be settled without a line saying whose it is — the store owner sees it, pays you what you are owed or deducts what you owe. It is deleted once settled, and it carries nothing of your data but the name the store had for you: no number, no permissions.
Everything else is erased: your chats with stores and their attachments, your ratings and their comments, your follows, and your name and number from any request, report or error record you wrote — nothing identifying you is left in them.
The full detail is in the Privacy Policy — what remains after erasure.
5. If you are a merchant with a store
- Deleting your account closes every store you own. To close one store and keep your account, that is a separate door in the app (Store settings → Close store).
- Take your copy before closing: your invoices, customer balances and reports. After erasure we cannot restore them for you.
- If your store has outstanding balances or debts with your customers, settling them is between you and them — the platform does not take that on and does not stand in your place.
6. Timing and grace period
- From inside the app: session revocation and store closure are immediate, and erasure follows a grace period of 30 days by default, during which you can restore your account and stores with one tap. After the grace period there is no going back.
- From this page: we reply within a reasonable time after verifying your identity, and then the same grace period runs.
- What remains (section 4) is not erased by the grace period: most of it does not identify you in the first place, and the part that does is what the books of a store you worked in attribute to its author — the owner's right to audit their own accounts.
